Job Description:
Monitor all WAN and LANs and work with service providers on any voice / data circuit issues
Help configure, install, monitor, and troubleshoot routers, switches, wireless networks, and phones at any of our locations
Help configure and manage firewalls at the branch and data center levels
Assist with updating software / firmware on existing solutions in the field
Assist sales with providing solutions to customer needs and problems
Research and evaluate new networking technologies
Assist in planning, consulting with vendors for purchases of hardware, software and/or services
Keep current with new products for system / networking enhancements
Assist with network security support
Provide tier II helpdesk support to our employees and customers
Assist tier I with resolving issues as necessary
Participate in departmental projects as required
Qualifications:
CCNA Required, Security+ a plus
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
Comfortability in working in a close team environment
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking IPv4, IPv6, BGP, EIGRP, static routing
Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, and VPNs
Knowledge of Cisco terminology and command line
Experience with the following is a plus: Cisco ASA, Cisco Call-Manager, Cisco WLC for wireless access points, MPLS and QOS, Microsoft DNS, Active Directory, CUBE, and CME.
Experience in working within a Desktop Support environment is a plus
Cat5 cabling experience is a plus
Linux terminology and command knowledge is a plus
Experience in using a "ticketing" system to manage workload is preferred.
