Pricing Assistant

Job Description:

 The Inventory Control Department at Elliott Electric Supply has an immediate opening for a Pricing Assistant. This is an hourly, in-person position.

The Pricing Assistant works within the Inventory Control Department to help maintain price levels on a wide variety of electrical distributor products. This involves analyzing multiple variables, such as comparable parts and amount of sales, as well as researching products and working with EES-proprietary software. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, time-management skills and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Primary dutits include, but are not limited to:

  • Use Microsoft Excel to analyze data on invoice histories and product movement
  • Make recommendations for changes in pricing to maintain competitive levels
  • Identify potential errors in loaded data on products and contacting appropriate groups to correct issues
  • Review customer-specific pricing and work with sales people and managers to help set up desired price levels
  • Gather data and create various reports for use in office and at the stores

Additional projects may be assigned by immediate supervisor or the Product Manager.

Qualifications:

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • College-level business math coursework strongly preferred

Experience

  • Office or desk job experience preferred
  • Working comprehension of business terminology (profit, COGS, revenue, etc.)
  • Previous experience with electrical products, electrical/industrial wholesale, or inventory/materials management is a plus

Specific skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, in-person, via telephone and email
  • Willing to learn to use proprietary software
  • Comfortable and confident communicating with store management and salesforce
  • Superior attention to detail and must maintain focus for extended periods
  • Must be able to multi-task, utilizing multiple programs while following through to completion
  • Basic Microsoft Office; specifically Excel general knowledge required

Work schedule will be in-person, M - F, 8 AM - 5 PM, subject to change by immediate supervisor or Inventory Manager.
